It may be legit, but is it just a way to farm information from you and your friends, you think? I wonder what they will do with all that info after they get it. I didn't read any of their disclosure statements. I wonder if they say what they will do with it in there.

There is no doubt this is a way to farm information. I actually need to do more research into what they will do with the data, I should have done that beforehand.

<br>I actually had another conversation later yesterday with someone who was looking to cash in on the other side of this deal (they were planning on starting a site like this, as they had already started a conga-line site).

<br>All in all, I think this is a 6 month fad. Once we all have plans to build up referers, the affiliates will lose interested, and this pyramid will be dead.

<br>In the end, though, my guess is those people already have my info from any number of sources (magazine's, mail order, catalogs) so I might get some more spam, but that will be a never ending battle no matter how you slice it. So far my feelings are if I can score a free ipod it's a bonus, but I am starting to question pimping this on my blog since I do want to maintain my technical credibility :)
