VSS 2005 integrated right into vs.net 2003

I finished my side by side install last week, and just found an interesting side effect, VSS 2005 took over the SCC interface in vs.net 2003. At first glance I don't see much different other then a new more polished UI, but I'm sure there are some differences in the client operations.

A funny comment comes to mind: "You can take a pig and dress it up and put lipstick on it, but it's still a pig." :)

VSS 2005, If I'm not mistaken, when I installed it in VPC with Beta 2 asked me whether I wanted to configure it using TCP/IP. Seems like a big change to me. Otherwise, the UI is more polished, for example, we can now stretch to projects explorer woo-hoo. But I'm sure there are other changes.

Thanks for the comments guys!

Darrell : I'm with you. Although we have moved most of the important stuff to svn, we still have some stuff in vss.. for now.

Shawn B : There are a number of big changes in the server. I think the biggest is the ability to use a edit/merge style, and tcpip as you stated. I still don't think it will change my opinion after workign with svn for a while :)
